With the introduction of PropFX, FXCM offers professional traders the ability to place orders with any of the banks, foreign exchange market makers, or any other counterparty. Mind you, this trading platform is not a warm and fuzzy one, so retail traders are in safe territory and will not be tempted to trade with such big players. FXCM, the parent company, offers another platform more suited to retail traders. This one is not it. Given that PropFX is an electronic communication network (ECN), you are trading with the market itself that is, with the big forex players. With PropFX you will not be going through a dealing desk.
